circe - I have one of these which is in a pearlised lilac colour but also has a little lid.
Jane McCormick - Hi this is one of my pots. Circe is right it has a small lid it is called a small ginger jar - not intended to be used for anything specifically, however it is glazed inside so it holds water . This is a very old design, the technique I used here was to dip the pot in engobe (slip) and then wax resist the trees and then sponge the excess engobe. My designs are still based on landscapes but the colours have changed a over the years. This shape with my new designs sells at craft fairs at £9.50 |
