Pat - I saw this very mark today on aa item in a junk shop. It was very nice actually and the mark was really clear.
CR - This could be Christine Purdy, near Kerry, Newtown, Powys. Otherwise possibloy Church Stoke pottery, Priest Weston,Shropshire...Owen Thorpe.
Marsha - Thank you Pat,CR and Ruth. I've tried a little research on names mentioned without success but will keep trying. The red clay is throwing me a bit?
