From Claire: A 9" stoneware jug with a band of Celtic knot pattern impressed around the base and at the base of the handle an impressed Celtic circular pattern and an impressed grid pattern along the handle. A very clear impressed big C with small p inside in a circle. On the base is a blue circular stamp which I can't quite read apart from possibly the word Celtic.

Replies

Phil - Pretty sure this is a piece of Crowan Pottery
Nigel - I'd suggest it's Conwy Pottery.
Phil W - Hi, Crowan would have a finer finish than this - the Davis's were perfectionists. Not their glaze look either. I agree, it's possibly Conwy Pottery.
Julie - Definitely Conwy - I have a brown version purchased from there yonks ago
Pat - Another vote for Conwy!
Glyn Nicholas - Not Harry Davis or Crowan.
Laura - I agree it's Conwy Pottery as I have one at home.
