As many of you will know, the recent earthquake in Japan caused
devastation in the potter town of Mashiko. Many kilns and buildings
were destroyed, the Hamada Museum suffered damage and many important
pots were lost.
To help with the Leach Pottery's Mashiko Earthquake Appeal, Cornish
potter Peter Swanson has produced 25 celadon yunomis inscribed
with the word Mashiko. In addition to Peter's stamp, each yunomi
is marked 2011 and n of 25 on the base. They are priced at £40
each plus postage and all proceeds go directly to the appeal.
If you would like to purchase, please contact Peter via swansonpots@mac.com.
I suggest you move quickly, they will be very popular! |
